Invisalign & Aligners

Ask Dr. DeLurgio – Invisalign & Aligners Questions & Answers

What should I do if my Invisalign aligner breaks?

Call us! Depending on how far along you were on that aligner we may have you skip to the next aligner or we may order a replacement aligner.

How do I avoid breaking my Invisalign aligner?

The main reason Invisalign aligners get broken is from rushing while taking them off your teeth. So go slowly and don't rush when removing your aligner!

Is Invisalign right for me? Can I get Invisalign?

Maybe! Our recommendations for treatment will be based on what the most appropriate treatment method is for each case. So we will review your records with you to figure out if Invisalign will give you the result you are looking for in a timely manner.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

There is not a simple answer to this. In general Invisalign moves teeth more slowly than traditional braces (metal braces or ceramic brackets). When your teeth need to move large distances Invisalign may not be the most efficient treatment.
